Stacey Pereira is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine. Her current research focuses on social and ethical issues in genomics, with particular emphasis on the integration of genomics into clinical care of newborns. She received her BA in psychology from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, and her PhD in anthropology with a focus on medical anthropology and anthropology of science from Rice University in Houston, Texas. Prior to her current project, she conducted a 3-year ethnographic project exploring issues related to banking, sharing, and research use of human biospecimens.
